The Story | The Production
The documentary will combine a narrative with actors reading key transcripts accompanied by interviews with leading historians, scientists, engineers and educators. It will incorporate original film and photographs from collections at the Schenectady Historical Association, Schenectady Museum (home of General Electric’s photographic archives) and organizations related to Steinmetz.
Original footage will be shot of the personal collections of Steinmetz’s manuscripts, documents and patents as well as critical scenes related to Steinmetz’s life in Schenectady; including along the Mohawk River, the General Electric factory and other important landmarks.
An original musical score will accompany period music to create a defining aspect of the production. The documentary will be further complemented by a companion website and study guides to complete the comprehensive package.
